Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

How can I receive a quote for a sworn/non sworn translation?

You just need to send me your documents to evallanos@spainguru.es and attach your files. It’s that easy! You will have your quote in your email within a few hours.

Can a sworn translator apostille a document?

The apostille is a certification for authenticating documents for use in foreign countries who are members of the Hague Apostille Convention, and is attached to the original document to verify it is legitimate and authentic so it will be accepted in that country.
The sworn translator swears that the translation is a complete and accurate version of the document given to her. Apostilles do have to be sworn translated too unless they also include a translation into target language (Spanish in this case) in the original apostille itself.

How long do translations normally take?

We offer an urgent translation service to have your translation done in 24 hours. If you need it even more urgent, please let us know.

Do you treat documents with confidentiality?

Yes, indeed. Your documents are kept strictly confidential at all times.

Will the translated documents be digitally signed? Should I additionally bring in physical copies of my documents to the Consulate, or will the digital signature suffice?

Yes, the translated documents are digitally signed with a valid digital signature that is recognized by all Spanish authorities, including consulates. Physical documents are not required.

Do you have specific working hours?

My working hours are Mon-Fri 9am to 6pm CET time // 12am-9am PDT Time (California) // 3am-12pm EST Time (NYC)
