Has anyone here gotten married in Madrid to another foreigner? The process is rather complex and would love to hear your advice

“It was super complex for us as my husband is from Zimbabwe and I’m from Ireland and the reams of documents they were asking us for here had complications like my certificates would expire by the time his got here or they insisted his had apostilles when Zimbabwe didn’t sign the Geneva convention. In the end it was easier for us to go to Ireland and get married, took two or three easy documents. I heartily recommend doing it in either of your countries if it looks any easier.”
