What is a medical certificate, and why do I need it for Spanish residency? +
A medical certificate, also known as “certificado médico,” is a letter from a registered health practitioner certifying your good health. It is required by the Spanish government to confirm that you do not suffer from specific diseases listed under the International Health Regulations of 2005. This certificate is essential for visa applications, including the non-lucrative visa (NLV).

What is the process for apostilling the medical certificate? +
In the USA, the Medical Certificate doesn’t need to be Apostilled. UK certificates require apostille via the FCDO or a private Apostille service. The FCDO only apostilles certificates from registered doctors (GMC or NMC). ZoomDoc provides certificates from eligible doctors.
Do I need to translate the medical certificate into Spanish? +
