What is the process for apostilling the medical certificate?
In the USA, the Medical Certificate doesn’t need to be Apostilled. If you obtained your medical certificate for Spanish visa from a UK doctor, you will need to get it Apostilled to make it officially recognized in Spain. In the UK, this can be done through the Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office (FCDO) or using a private Apostille service.
However, the FCDO will only issue an apostille for documents signed by doctors or GPs registered with them. Ensure that your doctor or GP is part of the General Medical Council or the Nurse and Midwifery Council.
