Question
The FBI did a background check on me, with finger prints, when I applied for a TSA number. Could I use that number when I apply for my visa residency?

“No, everytime you need a background check it has to be done all over again.”
“I believe the FBI background check expires after 5 months. Previously it was 3 months. Not sure when they changed it… check your results for an expiration date or issuing date. If it’s been a short amount of time like a week or a month, I’d say go for it and use it again.”
