Why I’m doing this

I run Spainguru.es, where I help Americans navigate the move to Spain: visas, taxes, healthcare, and the realistic version of expat life. After years of helping people online, I want to meet some of you in person. Ask the questions that don’t fit in a forum thread. Sit across the table from someone who’s been through the process and the people helping others through it. No sales pitch, just an honest and useful evening together. If you’d like to support Spainguru’s ongoing work, you can optionally buy me a coffee — completely voluntary and not connected to your seat.

FAQ

Is there a ticket cost?

No — RSVP is completely free. Reserve your spot via Luma at no charge. If you’d like to support Spainguru’s ongoing work, you can optionally buy me a coffee. Donations are voluntary, never required, and have nothing to do with your seat.

Why do I still need to reserve in advance?

The meetup will be at a venue sized to actual demand. We confirm and email you the exact address about 10 days before the event.

Can I cancel if I can’t make it?

Yes. Since RSVP is free there’s nothing to refund — just please cancel your Luma RSVP as early as possible so we can offer your seat to someone on the waitlist. You can also email us at hello@spainguru.es.

What time does it start?

The event runs from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, August 5 in Jacksonville. Doors open a few minutes before 6 for sign-in.

What if I can’t make the date?

Follow Spainguru.es and our YouTube channel for the recording afterward. We’ll also share the slide deck and key links by email after the event.

Will the event be recorded?

Yes. Video and photos will be published on YouTube, Spainguru.es, and Spainguru’s social media channels. RSVPing means you consent to possibly appearing on camera. If you prefer not to be on camera, sit in the back rows and we’ll keep you out of the shot.

Can I bring a partner, spouse, or friend?

Yes. Please RSVP for each person separately so we have an accurate headcount.

Want me to come to your city?

If you’d like me to organize a Spainguru meetup in your city, email me at hello@spainguru.es. Tell me your city and a rough sense of how many people you think would come. I’m planning more US trips and your suggestions help shape where I go next.

I’m not sure I’ll show up. Should I still RSVP?

Only RSVP if you genuinely plan to come. We size the venue to RSVP counts, and no-shows mean someone on the waitlist could have had your seat. If your plans change, cancel via Luma as early as possible so we can release the spot.

Ready? RSVP for free.

Grab your free RSVP on Luma, and I’ll send you the venue details about 10 days before the event. See you in August.
