Helping Expats Make Spain Home
Since 2014, Spainguru has guided tens of thousands of people through the maze of Spanish immigration, residency, and daily life — backed by a community of over 150,000 members, 1,000+ expert videos, and a weekly newsletter read by 18,000+ subscribers.
How It Started
In the early 2010s, three American expats — Christina Samson, Shaheen Samavati, and Stacey Taylor — each made the leap to Spain for different reasons. What they shared was a common experience: navigating a bureaucracy that felt impenetrable, dealing with paperwork in a language they were still learning, and wishing someone had warned them about what was coming.
So they started sharing what they learned. What began as blog posts and a Facebook group quickly grew into something much bigger — a platform that thousands of people relied on for real, practical guidance on moving to and living in Spain.
Christina built Madrid’s largest expat group to 25,000 members. Stacey became a beloved content creator. Shaheen went on to co-found Spotahome and lead VeraContent as CEO. Though the co-founders have since moved on to other ventures, the foundation they built became the bedrock of what Spainguru is today.
Spainguru Today
In 2021, Bruno Bianchi joined Spainguru and transformed it from a content platform into a full-service ecosystem for expats.
Under Bruno’s leadership, Spainguru launched a YouTube channel that now features over 1,000 expert videos with 9,000+ subscribers, a weekly newsletter reaching 18,000+ readers, expert webinars, and a network of over 20 Facebook groups covering everything from the Non-Lucrative Visa to the Digital Nomad Visa.
Today, as CEO & Owner, Bruno oversees the Spainguru Community — connecting expats with vetted immigration lawyers, tax advisors, health insurance providers, and other trusted partners who make the transition to Spain smoother.
