The photo requirements for a short-term Schengen visa application are as follows:
- Two photos that are identical and not more than six months old.
- The dimensions of each photo should be 35x45mm.
- The photos must be in color; black and white photos are not accepted.
- The applicant’s head should occupy 70-80% of the photo.
- The background should be light-colored, preferably light grey, and free of patterns.
- The applicant should be looking directly at the camera.
- A neutral facial expression is required, with no smiling and the mouth closed.
- Avoid wearing uniforms or clothing that matches the background color.
