Seems non lucrative Spain visa backlog in Madrid is hurting us all. Can we add some structure to help each other understand any patterns please?

“London 23/6 6 weeks Still waiting All very frustrating. Have had to change ferry crossing twice! Now booked for 24/8 so fingers crossed“
“London 27/05 10 weeks today! Still waiting. Changed our initial ferry booking, then cancelled the next one and will now go via the euro tunnel when as and when we are notified“

“9/8 letter emailed indicating we needed the letter of termination from employer and the sworn affidavit that we would not be employed and a letter authorizing and holding them harmless for mailing our passports using the envelopes provided. We received the email the morning of 10/8 and immediately gathered or created the docs and they arrived 11/8. Approximately five weeks of waiting for a response. No idea how much longer for next act.“

“San Francisco Consulate June 9 8 weeks Still waiting. Not confident at all that we will hear anything before our departure to Spain on 8/21. Have discussed and strategized w/ our attorneys in Spain. Have heard SF is not doing appointments, but sending emails requesting applicants to mail/fed ex in their originals & passports when it’s their turn.“
