student visa modification to cuenta propia & regreso
Hi! I am wondering if anyone has submitted a student visa renewal AFTER having submitted the modification to cuenta propia? (in order to be able to get a regreso to be able to travel). Will this potentially negatively affect my mod cuenta propia application?
I submitted my paperwork in person July 13th (in Madrid) and am waiting. I am worried about not having an answer anytime soon and I am needing to go home to the States asap (hopefully November) for familiar matters. At the same time I want to prioritize this process and not do anything that could jeopardize its approval. Feeling very stuck, any advice is appreciated.

“Why did you submit the renewal? This could screw you up. You can’t have 2 going at the same time. You should have just gotten the regreso showing your cuenta propia is en trámite.”
“I was told that you cannot get a regreso with the cuenta propia in trámite as it is a modification and technically you’re not supposed to be leaving the country until it is resolved.”
“you could have tried at least tho. I’m not sure if it’s different with cuenta ajena/propia but I’m modifying to cuenta ajena and I got one just fine last week”
“Hi, it was exactly my case and i got aprroved for CP without any problem”
