Should I get a stamp on my passport to renew my non lucrative Spain visa?

Question about non lucrative Spain visa

I just flew in from Miami at Munich airport, the officer told me that she didn’t have to stamp my passport because I have a resident card from Spain.
They did stamp the passport when I left to Miami 2 weeks ago.
I don’t know if the lack of proof of return to Schengen area would be a problem in the future when Applying to renew the non lucrative Spain visa.

Answers

These are the answers of some Facebook group members:

“Keep your boarding pases as proof of your return.”

“Residents shouldn’t have their passport stamped because they don’t have to adhere to the 90 day rule however it doesn’t matter if you do as the stamp is deemed void due to residency.”

“They won’t stamp your passport because you are an EU resident.”

In conclusion, according to Spainguru Facebook group members, the absence of a passport stamp for EU residents, such as those holding a non lucrative Spain visa, is a common practice and not a cause for concern. This practice aligns with the exemption from the 90-day rule for EU residents, and any stamps received are typically considered void due to residency status. To ensure documentation of your travels, keeping boarding passes as proof of your return is advisable, but it is unlikely to impact the renewal of your non lucrative Spain visa in the future.
