Question about the non lucrative Spain visa passive income

I’ve seen conflicting info re owning a property in UK and renting it out is this allowed as a passive income for the non lucrative Spain visa or is it classed as a business and hence not allowed?

“It’s allowed – as long as you engage a management company to do the letting. You can’t be working.”

“I consulted with a visa specialist, and they confirmed that renting out a property in the UK can indeed be counted as passive income for the non lucrative Spain visa. Just ensure you adhere to the guidelines and avoid direct involvement in property management.”

“it is considered as a passive income.”

“From my experience, the key factor is not being directly involved in the day-to-day rental operations. As long as you hire a property management company to handle everything, it should qualify as passive income and align with the non lucrative Spain visa requirements.”

“I reached out to the Spanish consulate for clarification, and they indicated that renting out a property in the UK can be considered a valid source of passive income for the non lucrative Spain visa, as long as you don’t engage in active property management or work-related activities associated with it.”

In conclusion, according to Spainguru Facebook group members, owning a property in the UK and renting it out can be considered a permissible source of passive income for the non lucrative Spain visa, as long as the rental activities are managed by a property management company and do not involve active work on your part.
