Question
We visited the London Consulate of 26th October (10 weeks today) for our non lucrative Spain visa application, still waiting for our passports to be returned, this seems an awful long time, has anyone else experienced this? I have exhausted all avenues to try and get information, phone, email but no response

These are the answers of some Facebook group members:
“I had my London appointment 27th Oct and had my visa and passport returned after 3 weeks”
“We went on 10th October got our email 29th December to say non lucrative Spain visa approved”
“Have you looked up the receipt to track it? Here’s the link to track it: https://sutramiteconsular.maec.es/Home.aspx“
“Ours took 7 weeks !! They waiting & not knowing was awful !!”
“I went on the 24th October to the London one as well and also still waiting 😩 let hope after Los Reyes they will get moving”
“13 weeks for ours.”
“I asked to keep my passport and had very confusing information but they did give me my passport back as my husband is resident in Spain. Submitted 13th December”
“11 weeks for mine (Summer2022), 10 for my husbands (Winter 2021)”
“Applied in July and received in October You had the festive season in between so it’s taking longer. I kept checking on the website for update.”
“We emailed the Consulate 8 weeks after our appointment and they said the visas were there and they were surprised that we hadn’t been in for them… Needless to say…. They hadn’t told us that they were there to be collected !!!”
In conclusion, it seems that the processing time for NLV applications at the London Consulate can vary greatly, with some applicants receiving their visas and passports within a few weeks and others waiting much longer. It may be helpful to check the status of the application using the receipt number.
