Question about the non lucrative Spain visa
My friend was approved for non lucrative Spain visa in Valencia, however, has decided to stay in Sevilla. She is looking for an apartment so does not have the empadronamiento yet. She arrived a week before Christmas, staying in a short term rental and has the Huellas appt in Sevilla at the end of the month. Does anyone foresee an issue? Will she be able to register her in Sevilla without an empadron and since the initial application was for Valencia?
*I had a similar situation. Applied to Sevilla, ended up getting empadronada in Madrid and when I went to Madrid for my initial appt they were able to see my pardon already on the computer and I didn’t have any issues.
In this case, my friend doesn’t have the empadronamiento and it’s in Sevilla in case anyone can chime in?

These are the answers of some Facebook group members:
“It doesn’t matter where she applied. If she can present a certificate of padrón from Sevilla at that appointment it’s fine. She doesn’t have to live in Valencia.”
“I don’t think it’s likely she will be able to get residency if she isn’t on the padron. But I don’t have personal experience.”
“She needs a padrón from Sevilla.”
“Not a problem, the non lucrative visa spain covers all Spain”
“The consulates don’t care where you live/register. The question on the non lucrative Spain visa application means nothing. She may need the Padrón for Sevilla, especially since the wording is that it’s necessary if you have moved within the last 90 days”
“When we first moved to Granada with our new non lucrative visa spain, we just presented our papers, along with our Deed. Never needed the padron or they never asked. When we renewed we had one just to prove we were still residents and had ‘integrated’ into the city”
In conclusion, Spainguru’s community members think that the consulates don’t care where she lives or registers, but she may need the padrón for Sevilla if she has moved within the last 90 days. Another member mentioned that when they moved to Granada with their non lucrative Spain visa, they presented their house pruchase papers and never needed the padrón or were never asked for it, but they had one when renewing to prove they were still residents.
