Answers

These are the answers of some Facebook group members:

”Letters from clients and past employers confirming the relevant dates and your job description. Also, your CV will need to be submitted, so these should match up”

”Letters from past clients is what I submitted. (I needed to cover experience for the year 2020 since I wasn’t working with the company I now work for, during that year) Also CV. Do you have a business license?”

”So letters from clients is truly accepted! It seemed like such a loose document to have, but I guess that’s what I’ll submit! And no, I have a DBA/FBN but business licenses aren’t required in my state if you’re a sole proprietor”

”I’d do the best you can with finding proof that your clients are real people. Sounds crazy but I luckily had a couple of clients I still have good relationships with and who knew I was submitting my DNV application? We decided that submitting copies of their Drivers Licenses along with their letters would help so that’s what I did. (Not sure if that was ultimately a helper or not though tbh)”

”My lawyer also said to provide taxes. So that’s what I did. Plus my CV. Still waiting on an answer though”

”Invoices and contracts”

In conclusion, according to Spainguru Facebook group members, US freelance applicants have used various documents and proofs to demonstrate 3+ years of experience in their field. These include letters from clients and past employers, CVs, invoices, contracts, and tax documents. Some applicants have even included additional evidence like copies of clients’ driver’s licenses. It’s important to tailor the approach based on individual circumstances and seek professional advice if needed.
