Question
I have one question that my wife is mexican and i m going to be naturalized citizen of Mexico. Can i apply citizenship in Spain after 2 yrs as naturalized citizen?
Answers
These are the answers of some Facebook group members:
”Your wife can apply after 2 years and then you apply one year after she’s received her Spanish nationality as her spouse. The 2-year rule is for people “de origen” (born in & first generation)”
”I believe you need to have been born in Mexico. check the spanish government website on it”

Conclusion
In conclusion, according to Spainguru Facebook group members, eligibility for Spanish citizenship typically involves a two-year waiting period for the spouse of a naturalized Mexican citizen to apply. However, this rule might not apply if the individual wasn’t born in Mexico. It’s advised to consult with immigration experts for precise and up-to-date information on the requirements for acquiring Spanish citizenship under these circumstances.
