A few days later you can download a certificate which states you have the right to public healthcare in Spain. You take it to the health centre with your ID and you’re registered. You receive your health card later.”
Conclusion
After registering as an autónomo with the Spain Digital Nomad Visa, access to the public healthcare system is relatively fast. Once the autónomo application is completed, you are automatically enrolled in social security.
Within a few days, you can obtain a certificate that proves your right to public healthcare. Taking this document to your local health center allows you to register for healthcare services, and your health card will be issued soon afterward.
