Spain non lucrative visa: How to provide bank statements from online accounts

Last Updated on May 2, 2026 by Bruno Bianchi

Question

We are in the process of gathering our documents for the Spain non lucrative visa application.

My question is for the proof of finances—it asks for original and stamped documents. A lot of my savings are in online accounts, where there are no high street branches.

“All our accounts were online; we supplied printouts of the monthly and annual statements.”

“My savings are all in online accounts, and all I did was print off 12 months of statements and hand those in. We were told they were acceptable.”

Conclusion

According to Spainguru’s Facebook group members, applicants for the Spain non lucrative visa (NLV) have successfully submitted financial proof using printed bank statements from online accounts. Different consulates, such as those in Edinburgh, Manchester, and London, have accepted printed statements without the need for stamps.

Some applicants highlighted their sources of income, while others provided supporting documentation to verify the origins of their funds.

It’s advisable to print at least 12 months of statements and include any relevant supporting documents to ensure a smooth application process.
