“All adults must have their own. Children cannot get one so they will go under an adult.”

“You need a digital certificate for each adult member of the family. Digital certificates are only given for people 18 years old and above so you won’t be able to get a digital certificate for your kids (provided they are below 18) but you can use your digital certificate to access the sede site for renewal on behalf of your kids.

When you apply for your kids, you enter their info then there’s a portion there that states that they are a minor and you are their parent.”

Conclusion

When renewing the Spain non lucrative visa, each adult must obtain their own digital certificate to access the online platform for submission. Children under 18 cannot get a digital certificate, but a parent’s certificate can be used to file their application.

Spainguru Community members confirm that spouses need to apply individually, and questions about adding dependents or using video identification were raised, with in-person identification often being required for temporary residents.

Using the FNMT website, applicants can begin the process, but must complete identity verification in person at a designated office.
