Question
Anyone know how I can get a Mexican birth certificate and American birth certificate apostille while living in Spain? I’ve only done the apostille process once in person when living in the States and idk how it works if I’m not physically there
Answers
These are the answers of some Facebook group members:
”It works the same way. You have to send your document to the appropriate office for an apostille. It helps in the US to have a friend or family member help so they can forward it to Spain for you”
”Mexico has a process. I suggest you contact the consulate here & ask them. I can not even get into explaining it, especially without knowing what your experience is with Mexican processes. The consulate will send you some instructions to follow.

Start the Moving to Spain Hub →Eventually you WILL need someone to do legwork there, unless you can go to DF & do it yourself. You also have to pay a fee that can only be paid from a MX bank account. it’s not at all simple, but it is possible. We got one done this year in about three weeks- start to finish”
Conclusion
In conclusion, according to Spainguru Facebook group members, when living in Spain, you can still get apostilles for Mexican and American birth certificates. For the Mexican certificate, reach out to the consulate for guidance. Consider seeking help in Mexico for smoother processing, as it involves specific steps and fees. Though not easy, it’s possible with proper guidance and assistance.
