“You’d need to change the setup so you have a business client or clients you can invoice (can be your own company) that you have a long-term contract that has been going for at least 3 months, that the company in question has been established a year, and that you have a client who can vouch for the fact you have at least 3 years experience, or you have a relevant qualification. So you might need to shift your setup around and then wait.”

“The documents you have to show are:

  1. Client Contracts (if the contracts are short-term, this will limit how long the visa is issued for)
  2. That the businesses you have the contracts with have been in business at least a year (usually certificate of incorporation/good standing)
  3. Three months invoicing, with the payments made into your account
  4. Relevant qualification or 3 years work experience.”

“Not as a day trader, as one of the main requirements is that your client is a company. But you could look at starting your own LLC.”

For day traders looking to qualify for the Spain Digital Nomad Visa, the key challenge is the requirement to have business clients.

The visa application necessitates having long-term contracts with established companies, along with proof of relevant qualifications or work experience.

Day traders may need to restructure their business setup, such as starting their own LLC, to meet these requirements. Proper documentation, including client contracts, business establishment proof, and consistent invoicing, is essential for a successful application.
