I’m told I have to get my documents apostilled. Have no idea what this means, where I need to go, etc. ….. HELP

“Hi it means the government has to certify them as official. I’m an Aussie I had to send mine to the embassy in Madrid and they gave it an official looking stamp/seal thing. You need to get that done before sworn translation if the documents need translating as well. So if you’re in Spain already check out your country’s embassy/consulate – if you’re in your home country check out the department of foreign affairs offices or similar.”

It confirms that the notary public or public official is, in fact, a genuine notary public or public official authorised by the UK Government.”
