Question
Has anyone switched from one private health insurance to another before their Spain Non Lucrative Visa renewal? I’m not due to submit my renewal until Feb/March 2025 but am considering switching due to coverage limitations where I live—would appreciate any tips from anyone who has done so. Thanks in advance for any help!

Conclusion
Switching health insurance providers before renewing a Spain Non Lucrative Visa is a common process for those seeking better coverage or service.
Key considerations include ensuring the new policy meets visa requirements, verifying no lapse in coverage between policies, and checking existing policy terms to avoid automatic renewals.
Many expats find improved coverage by switching to providers that are well-regarded in their specific regions, such as DKV, Sanitas, or Adeslas.
