Question
Shipping question: We’re using Schumacher to send over a few household goods & tools. Can someone educate me regarding the “Consulate residence certificate” that certifies we have been living in the US for the last 12 months? Our consulate is San Francisco.

“That certificate is the baja consular and is only issued to Spanish citizens. If you’re moving and just got your visa, you can present the visa, your resuelto favorable and your lease. You present this to the shipping company as they present this to the Agencia Tributaria. The U.S. embassy doesn’t get involved at all.”
“I had to go to the US consulate here in Valencia and present my old drivers license, then write a statement in Spanish about why I was bringing in the goods, and it was signed and stamped by the consulate. I also was not able to receive my shipment until I had the Baja consular (the form above) and my Padron.”
