How long does it typically take to appeal against an incorrect date stamp in a passport for entry to Spain? (Digital Nomad Visa Spain)

Last Updated on March 18, 2026 by Bruno Bianchi

Question

Has anyone had to appeal the Digital Nomad Visa Spain application? How long did it take? Basically, my lawyer has had to appeal against an incorrect date stamp on my passport from when I arrived in Spain. Very frustrating.

These are the answers of some Facebook group members:

”Don’t appeal, reapply it’s quicker go to Gibraltar and get a new stamp”

”I appealed my visa denial last March 31 and I just got my approval yesterday, June 20. Someone here confirmed that you can actually submit a new application even if your appeal has already been submitted. So consider just submitting a new application if you are really pressed for time”

”It’s been three weeks so far for me, and they can take up to 90 days to respond”

In conclusion, according to Spainguru Facebook group members, the process of appealing a Digital Nomad Visa Spain denial or incorrect date stamp on a passport can vary in duration. Some members suggested reapplying for a new stamp as a potentially quicker option. One member mentioned that their appeal took approximately three weeks, but mentioned that it could take up to 90 days for a response. Another member shared their experience of appealing a visa denial, stating that it took about three months to receive approval. Ultimately, it seems that the timeline for an appeal can vary depending on the specific circumstances and the governing authorities involved.
