Question
Just heard today I’ve been rejected because I entered Spain via road through France from the Uk and saying it’s not in the Schengen area . Has anyone else had this ? Also anyone been approved by travelling via road?
I’ve used a lawyer to complete my Spain Digital Nomad Visa application and is the only reason given so I’ve asked for them to reconsider

These are the answers of some Facebook group members:
”I believe you would have needed to go somewhere in Spain (maybe a police station) within 72 hours of arriving in France, to get a Spanish Entry stamp. They are being very strict on this”
”They will not reconsider. Get a Spanish entry stamp on your passport and reapply”
”I got the same, and I submitted with a lawyer as well. I entered the Schengen area via Amsterdam”
”Schengen is a combined set of rules and laws for the EU, but the zone/area is not ‘one country”
In conclusion, according to Spainguru Facebook group members, entering Spain through road travel from the UK via France has reportedly led to rejections for some individuals. It is suggested that obtaining a Spanish entry stamp within 72 hours of arrival from France may be necessary. Reapplying with the entry stamp is recommended. The Schengen area is not a single country but a collective with unified border rules and laws.
