Does a ‘no live trace’ on my ACRO affect my Spain Non Lucrative visa application?

Last Updated on March 18, 2026 by Bruno Bianchi

Question

We’re applying for Spain non lucrative visa next year and meet all criteria, but my acro has a ‘no live trace.’ Will this be an issue?

Answers

These are the answers of some Facebook group members:

“The term ‘NO LIVE TRACE’ indicates that while your criminal record exists and is stored on the Police National Computer, the information has undergone a ‘stepping down’ process, rendering it absent from the Certificate. This outcome is acceptable for a Non-Lucrative visa application.”

Conclusion

In conclusion, According to Spainguru Facebook group members, The phrase ‘NO LIVE TRACE’ in an ACRO certificate implies that there might have been a previous criminal record, now ‘stepped down’ from the Police National Computer, not appearing on the Certificate anymore. According to the consensus among members of a Facebook group discussing Spain non lucrative visa applications, this situation doesn’t pose a problem for a Non-Lucrative Visa (NLV) application.
