Is it better to ship furniture from Australia to Spain or sell it and buy new furniture upon arrival in Spain

Last Updated on March 18, 2026 by Bruno Bianchi

Question

Is it better to ship furniture from Australia to Spain (at a cost of approximately $18k) or sell it and buy new furniture upon arrival in Spain, considering factors such as cost, style compatibility, import taxes, and the possibility of returning to Australia in the future? Are rentals in Mallorca typically furnished?
