Question

What is the typical acceptable time frame between reserving a property and drawing up a deposit contract in Spain? We went to the agent today and they said we would have one week to do it but our lawyer said he needs a minimum of two.

“Usually 2-3 weeks. One week would be very little time for your lawyer to do due diligence”

“I’ve just asked that question – 2 weeks to contract & approximately 4 weeks total if you’re a cash buyer & no problems pop up”

“The usual contract time is 30 days from signing. We ourselves did one in 10 days, which was agreed with the vendor and our solicitor agreed and was able to do all the checks within that time frame.”

“We did one week to secure offer 3 months to get to contract and 6 more weeks to sign but that was our choice to take this time”
