Why are detailed employment history and specific company documentation necessary for a Spanish DNV application, and why might basic incorporation certificates not be enough?

Last Updated on March 18, 2026 by Bruno Bianchi

Question

Why do I need to provide a complete list of employers since 1983 and detailed tax information for my Spanish DNV application?

Why are certificates of good standing specifically required from the last three years of contracting companies, instead of their incorporation certificates? Any advice from those who’ve faced similar requests?

These are the answers of some Facebook group members:

”No, and absolutely no need for that. Simple incorporation certificates are fine and you only need to accredit 3 years of relevant work experience or present a relevant university degree”

In conclusion, according to Spainguru Facebook group members, detailed employment history and tax info might not be needed for DNV application. Consider using incorporation certificates and highlighting three years of relevant work experience or education. Seek guidance from those with similar experiences or immigration experts to increase your chances to obtain a digital nomad visa in Spain.
