Question about the non lucrative Spain visa
If partner and I apply for non lucrative Spain visa as a married couple, can only one have a source of income or do we both need to have our own source of income? Do we need to ahve the money amount in our actual bank account or is that what income needs to equate to yearly?
Answers
These are the answers of Spainguru Facebook group members:
“According to everything I read, for each dependent, you add an amount significantly smaller than the amount for a single person. 27K for the first and then 6,768 for every family member – currently.”
“One source is fine. The family numbers are less than 2X the single person’s number. Should be around 40,000 euros for a couple.”
“Some people get approved just having the money (or more, of course!) Some people have reported that if they don’t show some recurring income, they’ve been denied.”
“It’s 1 main source of income IE €28k plus €8,000 per dependent X 5 years. You don’t have to show 5 years of income as far as I understand. On your local Spanish embassy website they have all the criteria on a PDF in Spanish and English.”
In conclusion, according to Spainguru Facebook group members, when applying for a non lucrative Spain visa as a married couple, it appears that having one source of income is acceptable, and the financial requirements are based on a combination of income and savings. The amount needed may vary based on the number of dependents. It’s advisable to check the specific criteria on your local Spanish embassy’s website for detailed information.
