Has anyone recently renewed their US passport? Last year the process was between 3 to 6 months back in the States, is it shorter in Spain?

“I’ve renewed both mine and my son’s passports from Spain, over the last 5 months. One on DEC and one in FEB. Both arrived by the 3 week point or sooner.”
