Question
US State Department Apostille from Spain. Anyone know how to include the money needed for this apostille from Spain. It says you can only use check or money order and I have neither currently in Spain. It says cash is not allowed and no other Information about a credit card authorization form.
Answers
These are the answers of some Facebook group members:
“Ask a family member or trusted friend to help you. Send the document to them and ask them to send it for the apostille with a money order.”
“Ask one of your trusted expat/immigrant friends or a stateside friend. I still have a massive amount of checks.”
“Use an Apostille service in the US.”
“Use US Authentication or some other service.”
“You can call them and make a credit card payment over the phone. it was the dept state of apostille. I would send it over without a payment method and then call and asked them if they had received it and that I needed to make a payment over the phone. Never had an issue. But this was 2 years ago so maybe it’s changed. Just keep calling to check every week or so to see if they have received your documentos and if they have, tell them you need to make a credit payment over the phone.”
In conclusion, there are several options available to include payment for a US State Department Apostille from Spain, such as asking a trusted friend or family member to send a money order on your behalf, using an Apostille service in the US, or making a credit card payment over the phone. It is important to keep in mind that these answers are based on the experiences of individuals in Spainguru’s Facebook group and it is always advisable to confirm with the US State Department if these options are still valid or if there are other methods available.
