Answers

These are the answers of Spainguru’s Spain Digital Nomad Visa group members:

“If you applied through a third party (friend, attorney, consultant, etc.), they are looking for the document by means of which you have appointed that person as your representative.

It would be ideal to sign that with a blue pen and scan it. They want an apostille on your degree and translation by a sworn interpreter, if it is not in Spanish. For proof of experience, they now require certifications from social security authorities or certified tax returns.

If you comply with the degree requirement, you should not need to provide this, as it indicates either a degree OR three years of experience in your field.”

“on the 1st section I dont need to go to a Notary?” – “Notary is not required. It might be related to how it was signed. Try wet signing it in blue ink.”

(Professional answer) “I sign it, as does the client. We both wet sign. No notary required.”

“For proof of employment, past work contracts may suffice. Many countries do not have government-backed employment records, so alternatives like contracts or other certifications might work.”

“You can check with an expert, but I recall reading that employment proof is accepted by them as listed on embassy websites.”

“I supplied my degree, which is relevant to the work I do, as I don’t have three years of experience in my current position.”

Conclusion

According to the discussion among group members, the documentation requirements for the Spain digital nomad visa include appointing a representative with a signed and possibly notarized document, proof of a relevant degree or three years of experience, and translation and legalization of documents.

Apostilles and sworn translations are essential for non-Spanish documents. For work experience, contracts or certifications from social security or tax authorities may be needed.

Wet signatures in blue ink are generally recommended to avoid issues.

While there’s no definitive solution for every situation, seeking professional advice and adhering to these general guidelines can help applicants navigate the process smoothly.
